Watertown Plastics Inc.'s commitment to developing a world class manufacturing facility is a continuous effort, demonstrated by the recent addition of 15,000 square feet of manufacturing space that opened in the fall of 1997. Three (3) new state-of-the-art molding machines with clamping force(s) and shot sizes from 110 ton/4.9 oz and 200 ton/13.1 oz Toyo H series complete with modem ancillary equipment such as die heaters, robots, granulators and automated boxing systems compliment the existing 22 Toyo molding machines that range from 35 ton/1.3 oz. shot to 300 ton/33 oz. shot.

Tight tolerance molding is the norm rather than the exception at Watertown Plastics Inc. and our workforce is committed to continuous improvement through proactive thinking. They are multi-skilled, cross trained and constantly exposed to new training and education.

We operated our facility 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. All injection molding machines are equipped with sprue pickers or traversing arm robots to allow us to handle product with the greatest of efficiencies. All resin is dried and fed through a central drying and feeding system.

All molding machines are equipped with individual hot water heaters and are tied into a closed loop central 20 ton chiller system. The production area is climate controlled allowing us to maximize process controls and we feature two (2) class 100,000 portable clean rooms that enable us to meet the stringent environmental condition for those customers that require it. Molding machines are microprocessor controlled to assure consistent quality both medium and high volume production lots.

Computerized order processing is utilized to efficiently monitor each customer order, with daily production meetings to assure on time deliveries. Production is monitored 24 hours a day by a central production tracking system that allows us to track job efficiencies, productivity, down time and raw material usage ensuring quick inventory turns providing the best in customer service for on time delivery.
